Facilities Supervisor (Maintenance)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY

To lead a team of facilities technicians to maintain the factory building, its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Jabil, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to both internal employees and service providers in decision-making processes that drive customer value.
  • Develop and monitor operational budgets for both internal and contracted resources; responsible for operational performance of service providers.
  • Ensures that all site Facilities personnel liaise closely with relevant EHS professionals to ensure compliance with all regulatory and local EHS requirements. 
  • Assumes responsibility of Safety Ambassador. Assures that each employee is formally trained in safety, which includes knowledge of hazards and protective measures required to prevent injury or illness.
  • Ensure compliance with good commercial, laboratory and manufacturing practices, and other regulations.
  • Implement business continuity plans, Energy/Sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs.
  • As appropriate work with the Facilities team on the delivery of consistent site amenities and employee services, including fitness centers, parking, food, landscaping, site security and other business services.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of site services, maintenance and utilities operations, project delivery, move services and all facilities operations, utilizing an effective balance of internal employees and service providers.
  • Build and coordinate external relationships with local, regional, and state governments for site and community relations.
  • Work with individual site managers to develop consistent, reliable practices to deliver high quality, productive, safe workplace environments.
  • Provide change management leadership to implement Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site.
  • Establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.
  • Plan and ensure monthly budget accuracy.
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure all facilities works compliance with required specifications, regulatory requirement, quality of work and safety standards.
  • Support and assist the Functional Manager with day to day activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, performance and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with Site/Campus Leaders to ensure alignment and connectivity between regions.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Not all duties listed may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Leadership capabilities including talent development and performance management.
  • Communications (written, oral and verbal) with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
  • Financial/budget management.
  • Adept in working in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to focus strategically while maintaining a tactical/operational focus.
  • Ability to lead a team of professionals with diverse skills and competencies spanning business and technical areas.
  • Ability to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
  • Plus 4 - 7 years related experience.
  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
