Graphic Designer - OPS (Finance)



The Judy Genshaft Honors College seeks a dedicated and service-oriented individual for the role of Graphic Designer. The incumbent in this role is a creative and detail-oriented professional responsible for supporting the graphic design needs of the University of South Florida's Judy Genshaft Honors College.

As a member of the college's marketing and communications team, the Graphic Designer will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop visually compelling and effective designs that enhance Judy Genshaft Honors College initiatives and promote its mission.

Because of the collaborative nature of this role, this is a primarily in-person design position.Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • 1 year of experience in graphic design through internships, freelance work, or previous employment.
  • Additionally, strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and collaboration skills and creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

  • Create visually appealing designs for digital and print materials, including social media graphics, posters, flyers, banners, website graphics, reports, and other promotional materials.
  • \n
  • Ensure all designs align with USF's brand guidelines and visual standards.
  • \n

Collaborate with stakeholders:

  • Work closely with various college departments and student marketing assistants to understand design needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • \n
  • Share design concepts, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions as needed.
  • \n

Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices:

  • Keep abreast of emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • \n
  • Continuously develop design skills to maintain high-quality standards and contribute innovative ideas to the team.

File management and organization:
\n
    \n
  • Maintain an organized archive of design files, assets, and project documentation.
  • \n
  • Follow naming conventions and version control protocols for efficient collaboration and project continuity.
  • \n

Quality assurance:

    \n
  • Review designs for accuracy and consistency before production or publication.
  • \n
  • Ensure final deliverables meet established quality standards.
  • \n
