Assistant Manager (Administrative)



TheAssistant Manager for the Scanning Department supports the day-to-day operations of the scanning team and provides leadership coverage in the absence of the department supervisor. This role helps oversee workflow, ensures productivity and quality standards are met, and supports adherence to client deadlines. The Assistant Manager also assists with training, addresses operational needs, and serves as a liaison between the scanning team and upper management, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.

Your Impact:

Provides guidance and support to Image Expeditors and ProcessorsEscalates personnel or performance issues to management as neededMonitor and maintain workflow for scanning operations, ensuring alignment with client deadlines and service-level agreementsAssign and distribute work based on team members skill sets and workload capacityPerform scanning, field correction, amount entry, and balancing tasks as needed to support team outputLead onboarding and training for new hires; provide ongoing peer mentorship and supportTroubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on scanning equipmentCommunicate production goals, status updates, and operational issues to the Image ManagerTrack production metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvementsContribute to the development and refinement of SOPs and workflow processesAct as a liaison between the scanning team and management, sharing feedback and team needsEnsure secure handling of client documents in line with company data security policiesPerform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives

Your Profile:

Skills & Competencies

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 3-year prior experience working in scanning or similar roleLeadership or peer mentorship experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Stand for 75-80% of shiftOccasionally lift/move up to 50 poundsAbility to maneuver between departments at a minimum of 100 feet, maximum of 600 feet at a time. For approximately 95% of the timeModerate noise level due to equipment and team environment
