About the Role

The Manager of Vendor & Rebate Programs is responsible for managing vendor partnerships and maximizing the value of Turtle's participation in the Affiliated Distributors (AD) buying group. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and vendor partners, overseeing rebate programs, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability. The position combines vendor relationship management, rebate program execution, and data reporting with opportunities to implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability. This position can be based either on-site at our Clark, NJ office or performed remotely with occasional travel required to vendor sites, AD meetings, and industry conferences. The pay range for this position is $80K–$100K per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Vendor Relationship Management & AD Program Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor partners.
    • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to align on business goals and performance targets.
    • Conduct vendor evaluations and reviews to assess performance and compliance.
    • Contact suppliers for agreement renewals, comparisons, and execution of AD and non-AD bolt-on agreements.
    • Support vendor and AD participation in industry conferences (NAED & AD) by scheduling meetings and preparing data packages.
  • Rebate Program Oversight & Reporting
    • Manage AD and non-AD rebate programs, including tracking accruals, payments, and supplier tiers.
    • Review and update rebate program performance, including AD run-rate, GIBP earnings, and star ratings.
    • Compile and update rebate values in SXe and populate AD & non-AD categories for Circle of Profit reporting via QlikView.
    • Ensure proper and fair allocation of rebate credits
    • Partner with Finance, Purchasing, and Procurement to reconcile rebate reporting and ensure timely processing.
    • Analyze rebate effectiveness and ROI to recommend adjustments and improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Scorecards
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on vendor activity, rebate impact, and program performance.
    • Track vendor sales performance and rebate utilization using ERP and reporting systems.
    • Review AD conversion submissions, ensure accuracy, follow up with vendors and AD, and resolve discrepancies.
    • Create conversion scorecards and publish results for internal stakeholders.
    • Review AD Rewards error files, resolve issues, and escalate as necessary.
    • Support Marketing with rebate-related sales scorecards (e.g., Spiffs, Eaton Auction promotions).
  • System Administration & Process Improvement
    • Act as Supplier Xchange Administrator by adding and maintaining user accounts and access requests.
    • Manage SupplyForce point-of-sale downloads and reporting.
    • Monitor and respond to incoming vendor/AD-related emails daily.
    • Compile daily sales reports, correct AD reporting errors, and verify accuracy.
    • Set annual AD targets in alignment with company objectives.
    • Continuously evaluate rebate management processes for efficiency and implement automation where possible.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and vendor agreements.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in vendor management, rebate programs, channel operations, or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of rebate structures, AD program requirements, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM and reporting systems; Salesforce and QlikView preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with ability to interpret data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage recurring daily, monthly, and annual reporting cycles.
  • Ability to balance strategic program oversight with detailed operational execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
