About the Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Qlik Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with the Qlik product suite, particularly Qlik Sense and Qlik SaaS, and a strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, and interactive dashboards and a solid understanding of software development principles within an Agile environment.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Qlik Sense and Qlik SaaS applications with a focus on performance optimization and user engagement.
  • Work with product owners and business analysts to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Design and implement data models and ETL processes to efficiently handle data from relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Utilize Qlik's load script and CLI for data transformation and manipulation.
  • Develop Qlik extensions and mashups using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Integrate and automate processes using REST APIs and manage code with version control systems like Git.
  • Ensure data security and governance by adhering to organizational policies and standards.
  • Participate effectively in Agile development teams, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with additional visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
  • Get acquainted with various domain datastores, including Oracle, MongoDB, and Appian Cloud database.

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Qlik Sense and Qlik SaaS.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced scripting skills with Qlik's load script and CLI.
  • Skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies for Qlik extensions and mashups
  • Knowledge of set analysis, section access, and complex expressions
  • Experience with relational database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Experience with REST APIs, GitHub, JIRA
  • Experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or comparable

What Would Make You Stand Out:
  • Familiar with AWS services such as EC2, S3 and Data Lake
  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau
  • Knowledge of Qlik SaaS and Qlik Sense architecture and administration concepts.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and frameworks.

FOR NEW YORK AND CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $140,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
