This position reports to Workday Technical Product Owner and is based at Summit, NJ.

Role reports to: Workday Technical Product Owner

Location: Summit, NJ

Travel %: 10%

Pay: $92,000 -149,500

What you will do

The Workday Technical Product Lead is responsible for eliciting business requirements and performing detailed analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance activities. You will work with business partners and technology teams to design or modify procedures to solve complex problems or improve existing procedures:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Workday technical solutions to meet business requirements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues within Workday platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements in Workday system
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on Workday functionalities
  • Stay updated on latest Workday trends and best practices to optimize system performance
  • Coordinate and gather user feedback through testing, surveys, voice of the customer, etc. for Workday
  • Configure, design, and solution system requests to address business requirements
  • Participate and help drive the Digital HR product roadmap by building relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate these into system and reporting requirements
  • Recommend system features and solutions considering priorities and tradeoffs, and help drive alignment among stakeholders
  • Lead and partner with other resources to 'tell the story' of the product and feature releases; contribute to the creation and distribution of messages through various communication channels to reach defined audiences to meet specific program objectives, and promote awareness of change by assisting in creating and implementing comprehensive communication plans
  • Partner closely with the development team to ensure that the business requirements are translated to the technical design, configuration, and documentation
  • Demonstrate advanced HR technology subject matter expertise
  • Troubleshoot and research solutions through technology Community and case managers
  • Ensure required documentation and request tracking systems are up to date
  • Collaborate across business and IT to ensure all functional and technical specifications are in sync
  • Perform detailed analysis, design, implementation and maintenance activities
  • Work with business partners and technology teams to design or modify procedures to solve complex problems or improve existing procedures
  • Develop and deliver project solutions on schedule and within budget based on department methodologies
  • Research and validate innovative solutions applying appropriate methodologies
  • Provide status reports, progress reports and documentation to department management and business partners
  • Ensure client satisfaction by providing high quality work and timely service
  • Actively participate on committees representing information technology organizations
  • Research emerging technologies in area of expertise
  • Act as subject matter expert in area of expertise
  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge seeking and sharing behaviors across departments in performing daily work
  • Stay abreast of industry changes through education and training
  • Educate and negotiate to achieve business strategy
  • Apply competency model principles, concepts and practices
  • Integrate system capabilities, and utilize appropriate resources
  • Ensure the operational integrity of all changes to the operational environment

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Workday implementation and configuration
  • Strong understanding of Workday integrations, reports, and security protocols
  • Certification in Workday HCM is a plus
  • Experience with various HR systems required

Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Agile or Scrum Training/Certification is asset
  • Design Thinking Training is asset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills is asset
  • Experience with Reporting, Payroll Integrations, or Security is asset
  • Experience working independently and managing projects
