Loan Boarding Supervisor (Finance)



SUMMARY :

Responsible for loan boarding, review, and funding of new loans to accurately and efficiently load to the core system. Completes data verification and quality control task to ensure data integrity and accuracy according to loan policy and governmental compliance. In addition to performing the Loan Boarding Clerk job functions, this position will supervise a small team of employees. Supervisory duties include: monitoring workflow, assigning tasks to employees, providing feedback about quality and quantity of work, making sure deadlines are met, and assisting with problem solving. The Supervisor will also provide feedback and counseling to employees, participate in the performance review process, approve timecards, and schedule and approve Paid Time Off for team members, ensuring adequate coverage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Complete the loan boarding functions for all Commercial and Consumer loans originated by lending personnel to established procedures
  • Perform daily review for all new loan data fields entered into the DNA system by Loan Boarding clerks to ensure accuracy of loan input
  • Assist Loan Boarding Clerks with establishing a person record in DNA, then boarding new mortgage loans in the DNA core system per established procedures
  • Convert construction-permanent loans into the DNA system
  • Complete loan modifications, extensions and renewal into the DNA system
  • Verify loan packages contain required disclosures, documents, checklists, and coding required for booking, as well as the appropriate fees have been collected, if applicable
  • Assist Loan Boarding clerks with workflows via digital file, email, interface uploads as well as other inquiries received via phone and email
  • Oversee multiple work flow processes, to ensure documents are routed timely to the Document Imaging team for retention
  • Add ticklers for new loans to follow up on missing collateral and/or trailing documents in the Abrigo program
  • Review and update titles in Premier E-title dashboard
  • Review and clears trailing items received from multiple business units, then sends to Document Imaging team
  • Open cases with Fiserv, to troubleshoot boarding issues and error messages in DNA
  • Review and keys CRA updates into the DNA system then scans reviews to Nautilus. Primary liaison to the CRA team
  • Perform daily/monthly audits and reconcilements, as assigned
  • Monitoring of the report functions, to oversee and maintain established expectations to meet goals and established SLA's assigned to the Loan Boarding team daily workflows.
  • Direct team members in the training and oversight to resolve issues that may have an adverse effect on the borrower. These tasks are to be completed on a timely basis
  • Complete annual review and/or create department procedures, as needed
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers via phone calls and monitoring group email inbox to ensure a high level of service

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a Front End Loan Processor

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
  • May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
  • Limited travel required occasionally during and after business hours
