MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)

Must be willing to work overtime.

Pay rate begins at $20.54 and tops out at $24.95

JOB SUMMARY

Work under general supervision to remove flash and excess metal from castings by following prescribed procedures, through verbal and written instructions. Obtains required surface finish requirements on castings with media. Operations are achieved with either the vibratory bowl or the high energy finisher or polisher. Operator must be able to perform all duties and operate both the vibratory bowls and the high energy equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Using Computers (entering information, etc)
• Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
• Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
• Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
• Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Checks all bowls for proper stone selections and levels.
2. Checks all bowls for proper water flow and compound mixture.
3. Verifies casting and routing card information.
4. Selects proper fixture if applicable.
5. Carefully places correct number of castings in bowl or barrels and processes correct length of time.
6. When cycle is complete, carefully unload castings from bowl or barrel and place in proper storage container.
7. Some castings are to proceed to next operation in shiny condition. These castings must be washed and rinsed to remove soap film. All parts processed in the high energy equipment must be washed and rinsed.
8. When removing part from bowls or barrels, inspect for lodged stones and remove, using awl or pick.
9. Clean all media screens and trench screens at end of shift.
10. Work is performed independently, and good judgment is required when to add stones to media bowl to keep stones at proper level. Also compound and water flow must be monitored.
11. Keep supervision informed on supplies needed, such as stones or compound.
12. Keep stones screened, sorted and stored neatly in media area.
13. Be alert for unusual noises, oil or water leaks, shut down unit and notify supervisor.
14. Keep area, machines and all drains clean at all times.
15. Wash down stones at end of shift by cutting off compound metering unit and flushing with fresh water.
16. Perform semi-routine duties as required.
17. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
18. Works Overtime when needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES

• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations
• Wear all required PPE. (Safety glasses, metal tarsal shoes and hearing protection required).
• Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED

Employee is required to execute the following:

• Gripping and fine manipulation
• Bending, stooping, lifting and working on feet most of the time.
• Be able to Climb a ladder and stairs, squat and reach overhead.
• Be able to finger press, use a keyboard, mouse and tolerate some hand/arm vibration.
• Be able to lift from floor-to-waist, waist-to-chest and chest-to-overhead.
• Carrying with two hands,
• Pushing, Pulling and Twisting.
• Use a keyboard and mouse
• Lifting 50 lbs is required when loading and unloading the high energy equipment.
• Work requires considerable to heavy physical effort in handling and manipulating all size castings and fixtures.
