Provider Relations Specialist - Cigna Healthcare - Remote (Finance)



OVERVIEW:

This role is an integral part of Cigna's strategy and will support continuous efforts in driving an improved and differentiated experience for providers. Primary responsibilities include sharing key information with providers, external/internal collaboration, support for heightened matters, projects and community engagement. It requires critical thinking methodologies, organizational skills, effective communication, and end-to-end tracking. This role is also part of a collaborative team aligned to a specific region with individual accountability, and collaboration with teams such as Accounts Receivable Specialists, Contracting, Market Medical Executives and other key matrix partners to ensure market and national goals are achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a provider advocate both internally and externally
  • Accountability and ownership of servicing providers including research, root cause, and resolution
  • Support efforts to be the partner of choice by collaborating with local providers to identify key market trends that lead to a differentiated experience
  • Collaborate internally to share provider feedback and assist with strategies to help mitigate downward trends and expand momentum on positive trends
  • Proactively educate providers on Cigna's business objectives, standard operating procedures, policies and programs available through tools such as Cigna Network Newsletter, vendor updates, coverage policies and digital solutions
  • Manage regulatory and escalated matters (ie. Dept. of Insurance Complaints, Escalated IFP/Surefit/Local Plus network issues)
  • Leads, collaborates, and supports strategic projects as determined by Market Experience Lead
  • Effectively engage in face-to-face, virtual and written communication
  • Successfully use available tools, including Accountable Relation Tracker, activity & trending reports, digital solutions platforms, video training tools
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in health care
  • 3+ years of provider facing experience required
  • Solid experience working with Facets, HCPM and Inventory Manager highly preferred
  • Experience working on and resolving escalated issues required
  • Knowledgeable in network constructs and associated provider issues
  • Ability to effectively work within a heavily matrixed and culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to problem solve and perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn and apply quickly
  • Strong collaboration, communication and listening skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Minimum 25% travel may be required

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 58,100 - 96,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
