Surveying Engineer - Charlotte, NC (Finance)

What Will You Do:

  • Surveying Field Work - Using Surveying Tools (ie. Site Level, Laser Level, Robotic Total Station, RTK/GPS) to provide construction layout points and data collection using established means and methods and Messer best practices.
  • Reality Capture Field Work - Using Reality Capture Tools (ie. Laser Scanner, UAV, Lidar) to create point cloud data sets for use in as-built documentation and BIM.
  • Surveying and Reality Capture office work - coordinate and prepare data sets and calculations from design documents using CAD program to use with surveying tools. Prepare as-built deliverables and documentation for project teams.
  • Independently sets priorities and executes construction surveying and layout tasks.
  • Use Bluebeam and other computer software to create deliverables.
  • Leverage appropriate processes to complete work efficiently.
  • Reviews front end docs, submittals, shop drawings, and design documents to determine unique project requirements.
  • Manage quality of construction surveying on complex projects and drives optimal results.
  • Apply and hold others accountable for Zero Injury culture and Safety-4 Site practices. OSHA 30 certification.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of construction experience (including internships and co-ops)
  • Skilled computer and AutoCAD skills
  • Skilled knowledge and use of Surveying and Layout tools
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and travel when necessary
  • Valid Drivers License
