Resident Engineer (Engineering)

GPI is seeking a resident engineer for active construction projects in the New England area. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day activities related to on-site construction and administrative/financial matters for assigned projects. Duties also include interaction with infrastructure owners, quality inspections, and project records.

Responsibilities:

Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, applicable codes, and standards
Manage inspection services to achieve on-time and on-budget completion
Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely
Coordination of construction work with owners, contractors, and other stakeholders
Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in multi-disciplinary transportation construction projects, with an emphasis on road/bridge reconstruction
Project experience over $5 million is preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and/or other contract management software
