Fire Sprinkler Project Manager (Maintenance)
Client Communication and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their design needs and construction deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Address any changes in project scope or deadlines promptly and communicate the impact on costs and timelines.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Review and approve project submittals, closeouts, and necessary documentation.
- Ensure all designs, hydraulic/seismic calculations, and listings are free from substantial errors and omissions.
- Ensure fabricated and loose materials for projects are correct prior to delivery, maintain knowledge of backordered materials and mitigate their potential impact on the project.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with fire protection codes and standards.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all project activities, including budgets, schedules, field changes, and communications.
- Prepare and submit regular project status reports to senior management.
- Ensure all project documentation is properly scanned, filed, and accessible for future reference.
Continuous Improvement and Professional Development
- Stay updated on the latest fire protection codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Identify areas for improvement in project management processes and implement changes as needed.
- Pursue relevant certifications and training to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Team Coordination and Leadership
- Organize project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow professionally in the trade.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a track record of successful team coordination.
Proven experience in project management is required.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Experience in a supervisory role is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure, adapting to shifting schedules and priorities as needed.Valid DL Required
Safety/Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
Ability to walk continuously without seating.
Position requires constant climbing, lifting, squatting, and pulling.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
Reports to: Division Manager
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
Classification: Non-exempt, In Person, Full Time
Supervisory: Less than 10 employees.
