The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow all food safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation when required.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
