Pay: Up to $25/hour (Based on Experience)
Westgate Gardens Healthcare Center is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Dietary Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our dietary department. This is an excellent opportunity for a food service professional who is passionate about nutrition and providing high-quality meals in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Dietary Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising food service operations
- Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with facility menus, resident dietary needs, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Help train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with state and federal food safety standards
- Food Handler's Card for California (required)
- ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a healthcare food service environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of dietary needs for long-term care residents a plus
